An app earns a position by its rating and by how many people stand behind that rating. Nothing else moves it up, and no position here has ever been sold.
Each ranking is set in plain HTML long before you open the page, so the order is already there and nothing has to load in around it.
Say which app and where you think it belongs. Every report is checked against the same rating the rest of the order uses.
Builds altered from what a developer actually shipped, copies with paid features force-unlocked, and anything using a name it has no right to. These are not ranked last. They do not enter the order at all.
Ranked APKs is run by a handful of people who got tired of app lists that never said which app actually came out on top.
Positions move as ratings move, and an app whose developer walks away is dropped from the order rather than left holding a place it no longer earns.
Nobody argues with a position they can see for themselves.
